Hi Folks

3rd trip on this route now.

Special route but Plod is still very active at Elphin on the straight near the Tea Rooms...and...

This year there´s a doddering local with a video cam recoding bikers who he thinks are speeding...twat!

Still. heads up, he might have a son in Plod

Hi Guys

Great route - awesome scenery on this round trip.

My 2nd trip this year and plod was there AGAIN at Elphin, end of the straightaway within the 40 limit.

Watch out guys, 2 plods on 2 trips must mean something

Apart from some dodgy surfaces here and there this is an awesome ride. As already mentioned wooly boulders move around up here but in the main you can see them in plenty of time. Check out smoo cave in Durness and the smoo cave hotel very friendly folk. Video finishes at Tongue causeway.

Great Route, Plenty Of Spectaculer Scenery, Loads Of Long Fast Sweeping Bends, Although This Is An A Road Route, At Places It Turns Into Single Track Road With Passing Places, Watch Out For the Locals Travelling To And From Work, They Think They Are On A Race Track, Outside Of These Times It Is Really A Free Route Passing The Odd Car SHere & There, Be Extra Carefull With The Odd Lamb On Roadside. Take A Stop At Scourie For Coffee At £1.50, Overlooking A lovely Bay, Carry On To Durness, Great Views, Next Stop, Tongue a Little Village With A Hotel That Serves Food & Drink, However 50 yds Down The lane There Is A Post Office That Has A Nice Little Tea Room And Does Sandwiches, Far Cheaper Than The Hotel. Next Its North To The little village Of Lairg On The Banks Of Its Own Loch, Worth A Stop To View Sights, Then Back to Ullapool To a Variety Of Pubs, Restauraunts And Take Aways, Stroll Along The Harbour with Fish & Chips, Or Even A Ruby Murray (Curry). We Stayed 5 Nights In Ullapool And Found A Different Route Everyday, Another I Would Strongly Recommend Is A Visit T0 The Isle Of Skye (BY ROAD, NOT FERRY) The Route There Is Outstanding, Believe Me.
